Burning the midnight oil

Just me,
a cup of herbal tea
and two cats
The rest of the world is asleep.
I'm listening to old music on someone's blog
and going through old photos from
earlier photoshoots. Actually there is something quite nice about it.
So peaceful

This is neat. Dale has these billboards around town, that use the great photo of the lighthouse formation in Palo Duro Canyon that he shot for our TV station. (a production we are working on) Anyway, they made posters of the same photo and put them in every school and every convenience store--the libraries, etc. Today we got a call from a teacher and she loved the photo. She wants to use it as the cover for a local high school yearbook.
Its wonderful and I'm so proud of him.

I decided to change my blog to being a private one and inviting just a few of my closest friends. I've never been comfortable about revealing my whole life to anyone who can happen across it and my web counter found people I don't know coming back over and over again. I feel much freer to blog when I know who my "audience" is. So, if you're here by invitation--you're one of the special people that I feel okay sharing with. I'll be better, I promise--and visit your blogs more often.

  1. Thank you for my invite. It looks so pretty here! I do have a lot of online catching up to do. Please add a link to Dale's photo so I can take a peek at it.

I haven't had much time for blogging or Facebook this summer. September is really busy too and I told the boys that the only thing on the calendar for October was Halloween and it was going to stay that way. I'm just getting too old to have young active kids. LOL The twins turn 15 in November and are already bugging me about driver's ed. *smile* love you!

Oh...boys driving. That's when a parent needs patience of Job. LOL
There is a link to Dale's photos. Maybe I need to change the color of my links. Love you too.

  3. Hi, Shelley! Thanks so much for inviting me. Your blog has always been one of my favorites, so I'm glad I'm in with the "in" crowd!

This photo is beautiful. It's so warm and inviting -- makes me want to crawl into your living room, have a cup of tea and enjoy the warmth and joy of you and Dale! Congratulations on the big success of the poster!
