Today well-lived makes Every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness and every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope. Look well therefore to this Day! Such is the Salutation of the Dawn. --From The Sanskrit.

A Time to Read
Something amazing has happened. After many years of suffering with a low attention span and being unable concentrate for any substantial period of time--I am finding that I can enjoy reading once again. Its so great to be able to get through a magazine article or pages in a book without my mind wandering.
I really feel the reason this has happened is due to my finding such complete happiness and contentment in life--at last. In the recent past, I had so many fears and worries (real ones) that I was totally unable to concentrate on anything else--much less "escape" by reading.
I like it!

I love you
ReplyDeleteGod shed His love and Grace upon thee
Love to you and your handsome Prince.
And they lived happily ever after.
Since my Mom died I have been unable to read for any length of time.
and with all that goes on with my precious Grandmother.
My mind is always wandering
from the stress
Before I even read the second paratgraph, I thought, "Of course, Shelley can read now... her mind isn't filled with stress and sadness anymore."
ReplyDeleteBut you knew that! (I discovered in paragraph two!)And I'm delighted.
Shelley, this was so weird to read...because I've been suffering from the same thing for the past 7 years now. I use to read 1-2 books a day and then when my anxiety got really bad, I wasn't able to concentrate on reading anymore and even though I'm now feeling fine, I still can't read a book. You're giving me hope that one day I will be able to read a book again!! xoxo
